Turn Indecision into Fun

Decision fatigue is real. Whether it's choosing what to eat for dinner, picking a movie to watch, or deciding whose turn it is to do the dishes, making small choices drains your mental energy.

The Decision Wheel turns this chore into a game. By visualizing your options and adding an element of suspense, it makes the process exciting rather than stressful.

Why It Works

Psychologically, using a randomizer helps you overcome "Analysis Paralysis"—the state of overthinking a decision to the point that no action is taken.

Interestingly, the wheel also acts as a "gut check." If the wheel lands on "Pizza" and you feel disappointed, you instantly know that you actually wanted "Sushi." The wheel helps you discover your true preference even if you don't follow its result!

Features of Our Wheel

  • Dynamic Sizing: Whether you have 2 options or 20, the wheel automatically calculates the perfect angle for each slice.
  • Physics Engine: It's not just a random animation. The wheel accelerates and decelerates naturally, adding to the realism and suspense.
  • Fair Randomness: The final stopping point is determined by a secure random number generator, ensuring no bias.
  • Confetti Celebration: Because every winner deserves a little celebration!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the wheel truly random?

Yes. We use a high-quality pseudo-random number generator to determine the friction and initial force of the spin. This ensures that the final resting position is unpredictable and uniformly distributed across all segments.

How do I remove an option?

Simply delete the text line from the input box on the left. The wheel will instantly update to remove that slice and resize the remaining ones to fill the circle.

Can I weight the options?

Currently, all slices are equal size. If you want to increase the odds for a specific option (e.g., make "Pizza" twice as likely), you can simply type "Pizza" on two separate lines in the input box. It will appear twice on the wheel, doubling its probability.

Is there a sound effect?

We prioritize a non-intrusive experience, so the wheel is silent by default. We are considering adding an optional "clicking" sound in future updates for that authentic game show feel.
